Nico AI is built to help you quit nicotine. We take your privacy seriously, especially because these conversations are personal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. When you chat with Nico, we store the messages you send and the responses you receive so your conversation is there when you return.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide the service: to sign you in, to keep your conversation history, and to generate supportive responses. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your conversations to advertise to you.
Data storage and security
Your account and conversation data are stored in a managed Postgres database. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use industry standard measures to protect your data, though no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Not a medical service
Nico AI is a supportive tool, not a medical provider. We do not collect this information to diagnose or treat any condition. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 anytime, or contact a trusted adult or medical professional.
Your choices
You can stop using Nico at any time. If you would like your account and conversation data deleted, contact us and we will remove it. You may also request a copy of the information we hold about you.
Children and teens
If you are a minor, please use Nico with the awareness and support of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult where appropriate. We do not knowingly sell the data of minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
